Mailbag Nov.25: A Few Questions

by Categorized: Mailbag Tagged: , Date:

Q: Hey, Dez. I’m not going to be able to participate in the weekly chat so I just wanted to toss you three questions in light of Saturday’s win. First off, the Chicago Bears are having offensive line issues this season like we are. Shane Day was hired as QB coach here from the Bears. Is this a coincidence? Second, Chandler Whitmer has been taking big hits all season. Has he been secretly dealing with a concussion or was that last hit on him just too much? And lastly, I feel the ONLY reason why we won Saturday was because of McCombs. Everyone else played well or just good enough, so what happened on offense yesterday that allowed him to be the difference? JustaDMC, Monroe, CT

A: With regards to Question 1, no I don’t think so. Not sure what one has to do with the other. On Whitmer secretly dealing with a concussion? No, I don’t think so. He got hit pretty hard yesterday if you saw the play. I don’t think McCombs can win a game by himself. I think he’d tell you the offensive line helped him a little bit.
