Looking at some of the Huskies offensive statistics nationally through three games…

They are: 99th in rushing offense (111.6 yards per game). Lyle McCombs’ 78.6 yards per game has him tied for 64th among Division I-A running backs.

Passing offense, the Huskies are 108 of 120 schools at 166.3 yards per game. The Huskies are tied for 93rd in scoring at 22.6 ppg.

The Huskies are 115th in the country in total offense at 278 yards per game.

The Huskies didn’t throw any interceptions against Maryland but they are tied for 106th in the nation with the five picks accomplished before that game.

One Response to Nationally Ranking: The UConn Offense

  1. White Dog 777 says:

With such anemic offensive production, I am confident the UCONN coaching staff is developing strategies to improve. Here are some questions from the arm chair.
    1. Quarterback – Will Casey Cochran be given some reps.
    2. Running Back – Will Max D and/or Joe Williams play?
    3. Will we be throwing the ball down field more?
    4. Why so little play action or miss direction plays?
Offense seems way to predictable! I have more questions but these will do for now.
