That atmosphere was great last night at Palmer Field, packed house for Hand-Madison’s 40-20 win over No.1 Xavier-Middletown, snapping the Falcons’ 30-game win streak.

UConn recruit Matt Walsh was a lot of  fun to watch. He had five touchdowns. He’s a big kid.  He gets low and will bowl you over.

Just outstanding awareness on the play Tigers offensive lineman Cameron Gravina, probably was play of the game. He caught a deflected pass on a 4th and 8 and rumbled 14 yards to a first-and-goal at the X 4. Walsh finished off. The drive was 90 yards and tied the score at 20 in the third quarter.

Hand has a nice left-handed QB too in Brendan Bilcheck (271 yards passing). He outplayed X and Boston College-bound QB Tim Boyle (140)

Saw Middletown High last night, too. Really good squad. Thanksgiving Day game should be a good one.
