Freddy = ignorance is bless and not a real fan. No clue as to the transition of not only coaches but integrating underclassmen as players go down.

Dez would not allow me to print what I think or want to actually say to someone who thinks they are a fan and makes a statement like Freddy.

    @ Dez…Wow a rats mass…LOL getting the gander up!

Jerk. Disappointed you even somewhat agree with his comment but I like the rest of yours.

    • TheJerk says:

I understand Freddys point a little from the side of wanting to see HCPP squirm in the post game interview. What excuse is he going to lay down after he has 2 weeks to prepare

  2. Freddy says:

As a uconn fan you should be rooting for this team to not just lose but get demolished. Only way PP gets the boot. He has no business coming back and should step down if not fired.

    • TheJerk says:

while i somewhat agree with your comment, the problem I have with it is..

These kids work their butts off to play D-1 football. Most, if not all, wont be playing on sundays. I dont wish them to lose games that they have devoted much of their lives to. Not trying to be a jerk, but pretty crappy thought

      • dconner says:

they dont wish to lose either but support helps, “boycotting” not going to games whatever is a slap in the face of the players you want to win. some people need to understand that. Some do and still dont give a rats mass

Have TheJerk and I spoken about hoping they get beaten on Saturday night so we come closer to the end of the PP era? Yup. Deep down do I hope it happens no!!! Do i know that Coach P will be back next year…Yup and I hope they are successful.

I will have my game cap on, lucky blue jeans, game t-shirt that I always wear and get pissed if something wrong happens.

  3. Mike says:

I guess that I will reluctantly agree with you Dez. I think that at some point ,things like what high school coaches think, what RE left behind, the pro style offense, recruiting, the coaches work ethic, the ten dollar beers, the tailgaiting experience bla, bla ,bla…won’t mean squat. This team has to start winning games and this is where you start. This is D1 football where winning is ultimately not the only thing, but it certainly is the final thing. No more excuses from anyone. Go win this next game and then the one that comes after that.

    • dconner says:

Well said Mike … You don’t have to agree with me, buddy. Listen I know people are angry. I get all of that and the whys. All I’ve said from the very beginning is do not take the easy way out here and blame the coaches. It’s just not that simple. It really isn’t and if folks look at the entire situation objectively and rationally, then I don’t think it will be that hard to determine that there is enough blame to go around even before the current coaches staff arrived. It has to get to work no doubt about it but going the easy route to criticize isn’t always the best. Thanks Mike

      • husky66 says:

here’s what I think fans, and esp former players, think is most basic and simple. Put a team on the field that plays w/ unrelenting intensity. Anything less is unacceptable. not just some, and not just the players; the entire team.

If I were a coach or player on this team, I would find that criticism to be the most upsetting of all. Questions about heart cut to the bone.

Saturday will show if that point has been made.

  4. RST says:

Not sure that I agree that the USF game is big. Whether or not the Huskies go 3-9 or 4-8 on the season would seem immaterial to the color of the season as a whole.

    • dconner says:

It is certainly your right not to agree with what was written but the fact – unfortunately I have to deal with those in this business – is it is a big game for both teams postseason aspirations. That’s a fact but I certainly expect everything that I write to be challenged from now on, which I welcome very much.

      • RST says:

I tried hard to be respectful and simply express a different opinion. If I failed in that I apologize.

        • dconner says:

I thought you were very respectful. No need for any apologies. The comment didn’t come off as an opinion though. I was just stating regardless, the fact is….that’s all

          • RST says:

OK, a matter of perceptions then. It is my perception, and that of many others, that the post-season train left the station at the end of the Temple game, and maybe before that. What will be contested in this game will be seventh place in an eight team conference. JMHO.

Winning the next two is huge, we would be playing the last two with something on the line.
