OLine Help On Way: Big Andreas Knappe A Go For UConn This Season
Hopefully a good Sunday is in store for you. Here’s a start for UConn football fans…
Andreas Knappe, the 6 foot 9, 290 pound offensive tackle from Denmark, is officially a go for the Huskies in 2012.
There were a few snags (likely the normal transfer stuff) UConn untangled to make it happen.
Good thing.
If this young man uses that size well and big T Jimmy Bennett, also 6-9 and and around 300 pounds is healthy, you could be looking at a once potentially dire situation becoming a strength again at UConn – the offensive line.
That’s where it all starts. No OL? No O.

DEZ,
AS USUAL YOU ARE RIGHT ON TOP OF THINGS. SOUNDS
LIKE A POTENTIALLY GOOD CATCH. HOPEFULLY, JIMMY
BENNETT WILL BE READY TO GO THIS FALL. KEEP UP THE
GOOD WORK YOU ARE THE BEST !!
Dez, I wouldn’t expect any immediate help form this guy. Although he should be physically mature at 21-years of age. He is said to be raw, raw, raw.
Hey Dez, thanks as always. Quick Q – it seems we are over 85 schollies, when you factor in incoming recruits and transfers. Any sense on where we stand w/respect to 85 limit? Many thanks,
