What’s goin on?

Our friend Dylan has something that may work for you.

Thanks Dylan…..

Ok Dez, so there is an easy way for fans to catch the game on tv this weekend, however, with all good things, there is some cost involved… And a little technical know-how. First, they need to purchase an Apple TV unit, (199.00), this is a small box that allows you to stream music/video/whatever from the Internet on to your television. Next, on any device running iOS 5 or later, they have to download the WatchESPN app. This allows them to watch any and all content via phone/tablet, including… LIVE GAMES NOT ON TELEVISION! The app just updated to allow AirPlay, a tech term for pushing what you’re watching on your iPhone, iPad, or apple computer to the Apple TV, finally, allowing it to be shown on your big screen. The video quality and sound are good, and it sure beats other ways I’ve tried using wires and other things only to have it not work for me… And any time they want they can watch replays of the game and whatnot, but they have to check with their Internet provider, I know Comcast cleared it recently, but the app will show a prompt when launched to tell you whether you can or not. Best of luck to those that try, and if you don’t want to bother hunching over a monitor, my house is open for the first 2 people that want to go, can’t fit all of Husky Nation in there, haha.

TK’s …For those on the western part of the state.
Worked in the Danbury area for a few years. Wish the job would have allowed me a visit or three.
Always heard nothing but good about this place…

I blelieve this is the 5th game we have shown via internet – @Duke 07, @Ohio 09, @Baylor 09 & vs Fordham 11. Wear ur UConn logo & pay .50 cents for every other Beer! tksamericancafe.com

Too much work for UConn-Western Michigan…now if it was UConn-Alabama…now that’s a different story–

You can also just hook up a laptop with HDMI out to your TV and go to WatchESPN.com — most cable providers are hooked up with the computer version (not all are hooked up with the app/mobile version).

FYI – The WatchESPN app will not work if you are a DirecTv subscriber.

Here is their fine print: Access to WatchESPN live video is determined by your TV provider and, in some instances, your Internet service provider. The providers below are currently offering access to live video:
    * Bright House Networks, Comcast, Time Warner Cable & Verizon FiOS TV – ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3 and ESPNU are available to fans who receive ESPN as part of their TV package
    * Verizon High Speed Internet – If you do NOT receive TV service from an above provider, but receive high-speed internet from Verizon, you will have access to ESPN3

An Apple TV is actually only $99, not $199. And well worth it, I might add.
