Usually after a game like this, I would rail on about the outdated offense and coaches. After watching that game, and taking a more global view , I saw what every other person saw. This is not a very good team. The coaches, sportswriters, and all uconn excuse makers have to stop with the old Johnny Cockran ” Don’t believe what you eyes are telling you, believe what I say”. I am not going to dump on the players, GD or the system. In D1 football you have 3 years to get into the top 25 or to a major bowl. It is all on the head coach. It is his system, he hires the coaches, he picks the players. He is responsible for EVERYTHING! Every one who watched that game saw that this team is not going in the right direction. There is NO WAY they lose that game. Good night Mrs. Kalabash…See you in the spring.

This one is entirely on the coaches. That wildcat completely broke rhythm. Still got a td on one drive after the wildcat almost blundered it. We found out that whitnet can throw. The only person on the entire team that gets a chance to find a groove is our rb because he is the only every down player. Redonkulous.
These coaches did not have this team ready. We do have the talent. They aren’t using it

The good news is that we should only have to suffer through 20 more games with HCPP and DeLeone by my count. So, don’t get down UConn fans, we are almost halfway there! HCPP inability to hold his friends/favorites accountable is his fatal flaw as a coach. His buddy, DeLeone has been a disaster. At a minimum, HCPP should be looking to replace DeLeone immediately, but it won’t happen. My guess is another sub-par year for UConn, followed by another sub-par year in 2013 before HCPP finally gets canned at the end of 2013.

This was an all around crap showing from ESPN3 broadcasters to the Obvious Offense woes, special teams to the UCONN Defense. Why doesnt #85 play every series????? Why don’t we have a real running back and not a scat back?

Offensive play calling is just pathetic, this is a game that UCONN should not have lost…

  5. Ray says:

The game has passed this coaching staff

  6. Ray says:

Perhaps a screen pass, perhaps something other than what we saw today………Maybe we don’t need a quarterback.
Perhaps we need a young, creative offensive coordinator.

  7. JD says:

Safeties are getting exposed today… Slants all day.

I can’t even comment on the worst Offense in division 1.

If UCONN can’t pull this out someone needs to have a talk with the O Coordinator. He is sending the program in the wrong direction and it is unacceptable.

Omg…pathetic..watched Maryland give 8th ranked West Virginia a good fight?? Are these the same players who played Maryland??? Deleon HAS TO GO ..trying his offensive schemes on a squad that can’t get it done…He should be playing to the strength of the players…hell last year McCombes had 1000yds…we have 3 returning o-line
Players …Shakiem ..must have the drops as a receiver..they play him much at BC ..now we know why…seems like a familiar story ..the RB from USC..sorry folks ..write it down…UCONN will be 4 and 8 this year …and with NO OFFENSIVE IDENTITY…to build on we take a serious hit with personnel on Defense next year..yeah I’m talking NEXT YEAR…our defense strength will be gone..it will be worse than this year…I’m thinking 3and9…Im Huge fan…but refuse to live in denial…the program has taken steps backwards…Deleone has to go …and Iam still not convinced that HCPP is gonna elevate this program…

turning it off. no point in getting worked up since clearly the players and coaches don’t think they can win, just look at the body language.

how exactly does Whitmer get pressured w/ a three man rush? nice job changing the O Line coach; looks like its working great.

  10. Ray says:

I thought we were promised an improved offense….Lets pull the plug on the QB.

    Johnny Mac…warm up

  11. husky66 says:

down 17-7, its not like you want to see it on TV. This is a pathetic display against a MAC team.

Our QB can’t progress beyond the primary target, recievers that are still dropping too many balls that the QB does get to them, an O line that can’t consistently run block.

On D the line doesn’t get separation off a block to get to the QB, putting the ssecondary in spot to cover too long.
