UConn’s Class: What They’re Saying
Rates class No. 64. Says the headliner is Dhameer Bradley. Calls him “a dynamic player in the open field and should provide excitement in Storrs.” Calls late additions of quarterback Tim Boyle and wide receiver Brian Lemelle “huge.” Says offensive lineman Chasz Wright “has the potential to be a quality starter once he fills out his frame and has a better understanding of the game. Offensive lineman Kyle Schafenacker and defensive ends Sha-ki Holmes and Jalen Stevens have the chance to be early contributors.”
Rates class No. 60. Rutgers (33), Cincinnati (tie, 50) and Louisville (56) are ahead of UConn. Each has announced its departure from the Big East. Behind UConn are four teams entering this season — Houston (61), SMU (69), Central Florida (88) and Memphis (95). League members South Florida (63) and Temple (90) also are behind the Huskies.
