More On The UConn Quarterback And What He Would Be Wise To Avoid

What’s goin on?

UConn football coach Bob Diaco said Tuesday during AAC Media Day there will be a starting quarterback named but a second will play because the quarterbacks on the roster do different things well. And, honestly, the Huskies need to move the ball much better and easier so whatever way the staff sees fit to do that even it’s three quarterbacks playing that should be the direction to go.

Recruiting: The Big QB

What’s goin on?

Hope all are safe and doing safe things…

UConn head coach Paul Pasqualoni got 6 foot 4 Tim Boyle from Xavier High in Middletown and 6-5 Kivon Taylor out of Grady High in Atlanta. The Huskies received a commitment from 6-5 Richard Lagow, of Plano (Tx.) but there hasn’t been announcement regarding his signing.

The Huskies have 6-2 junior Scott McCummings on the roster along with 6-1 Chandler Whitmer who stared last year and 6 foot Casey Cochran who will be a redshirt  freshman.

So, as of now, the Huskies will have five quarterbacks competing  in the fall, maybe six. Half will be 6-4 or taller.

“At the position, we’ve got Chandler, who is an older guy, so he’s obviously developing and already next year going to be in his junior year and well along academically and we had a chance in Timmy and we had a chance …with the players we were recruiting to get a bigger, taller, version, if you noticed, the guys we took are not the same from a profile standpoint,” Pasqualoni said on national signing day Wednesday Continue reading
