Alright J.D. Great football name my man! Welcome aboard we definitely need you. I think by the time you exit here you will have had some very memorable wins. I like the way that the team is shaping up. I really hope the kid Cochran from Masuk is a 3 year starter and u get to see him for two. If he doesn’t start next season then all the hype was just that. Whitmer is not someone that will lead us to the promised land, so hope we see that change with Whitmer as the back up. Actually I think UC should hit the JUCO ranks hard. Happy holidays to you and yours J.D.K.

With the starting tight ends graduating, this was a critical get. Guessing that JDK will get lots of PT and will probably start right away if he has a good spring and preseason camp.

That attitude got our basketball program put on probation and forced Calhoun to step away from the program.

        Dave,

Hardly an accurate statement, Dave You need to become more informed about the APR and the the circumstances that led to UConn being sanctioned. UConn has been punished twice for early departures in the same year and would be in compliance if the most current figures were used. The university and the men’s basketball program never abandoned academics.

Dave doesn’t care about facts. Just wants to be class clown. Spent 20 years near Saddleback College. Great program.

      3. Paul Knopick

Mr. Watertown just likes being the class clown. He never lets facts stand in his way. Lived near Saddleback for 20 years. It is a fine program. Sent Howie Long’s very large son to Oregon for a fine season this year. Congrats UConn.

Looks like he’s a monster. Got some good hands. Interested to see how he will stack up to ‘larger’ competition.

  5. Coach Guch

Just so you know Y-Bush, JD has earned his AA degree with a 3.0 gpa and was a Scholar-Baller this fall semester. He was also a qualifier out of HS. So don’t worry this particular JUCO player won’t dumb-down your fine institution.

Thanks Coach Guch.We have some stupid fans but most know this coaching staff doesn’t recruit students who can not thrive at Uconn

  6. Dave

Wow, settle down Yonick I’m sure the university is not letting in a academic question mark after all the negative ink over the last year. The kid probably has a better GPA compared to you when you were a student.

I hope this is in jest.:) Over the years UConn has recruited many players from junior colleges. UConn’s current starting quarterback was recruited from a junior college and UConn enrolls over 1200 transfer students each year, many of them from junior colleges.
