UConn Football Roster Moves

Linebacker Jerome Williams and defensive back Chris Lopes intend to transfer after the spring semester.

Though they are on scholarship they are not considered a part of the team anymore and are not on the roster

Linebacker Matt Edwards and tight end Corey Manning are graduating in May and will not be back next season.  Both would have been redshirt seniors.

The “rumor” about former UConn receiver Dwayne Difton returning to UConn  was  just that – a rumor

Also, my apologies to Drew Ghio and his family. I botched his school in today’s story. He attended Bristol Central.

    Looks like Hinkley is not on the roster but is also graduating in May & would’ve been a RS Senior, I think, with a year of eligibility left. Think a scholarship offer would have kept him around and in grad school? Will be curious to see where he might end up next season if he continues playing, but good luck to him also, whatever he does; Dez, you were right when you named him “Most Improved” a while back!
    Am optimistic about next season; thanks for the good info flow!
