UConn TE McQuillan Suffers Blow To Head, Heads To Hospital

First time I’ve ever seen anything like this up here.

What’s goin on folks?

UConn tight end Sean McQuillan took a blow to the head from cornerback Taylor Mack during a scrimmage Saturday.

“It was disappointing,” said quarterback Chandler Whitmer. “Training camp is tough because we’re going against each other and we’re trying to go hard and work and get better. Sometimes we get a little too aggressive and stuff happens. It’s football and people get hurt. I hope Sean is alright. He was moving his fingers and toes so he should be ok

“I don’t think Sean was right before the play and he kind of slowed up and T-Mack was going full and there was miscommunication there. It’s tough. It was a pass into the flat. I was trying to get him out there. It was tough.”

After the hit, McQuillan lay still on the turf for a while. The Huskies cut practice short and circled around McQuillan who is from Glastonbury.

UConn head coach Paul Pasqualoni said McQuillan was able to wiggle his hands and toes and he responded to Pasqualoni.

McQuillan, who was practicing as the No.1 tight end, was headed to Windham Hospital.

Say a prayer folks
