The proof is in the pudding, go back a couple of years and there was no advertising on the courant.com Connecticut Football pages, now, bam, nothing proves success more than people wanting to pay to advertise to your fans Desmond. I second Chris’s thoughts here!

With the 1:00 kickoff what time will the gates open for tailgating?
Usually 8:00 AM for noon games.

      • Navin R. Johnson says:

UCONNFB…lots always open 4 hours before kickoff.

dez do you know if its ok to bring firearms, charcoal, kegs, fireworks, reptiles, or scaffolding to the parking lot as well? I’ve got a big party planned

          • dconner says:

Thanks for the laughs. Uh, I think the guns are illegal not sure about the reptiles

Actually, it is not illegal to carry a firearm in Connecticut. Moreover, the rentschler field rules are somewhat ambiguous as to whether “firearms” are prohibited on tailgaiting grounds. Under “building policies” weapons are definitely prohibited at “Rentschler Field.” But, under the “Tailgating” section, which is separate from the “Building” section, there appears to be no prohibition on firearms. With that said, I would nonetheless recommend refraining bringing a firearm both into the building and into the tailgate, despite the patent ambiguity.

Just thought an extra hour of Bloody Mary’s might make it easier to watch this offense.

Despite the heat you’ve been taking from some of the fans, there are plenty of us who support you and your work with UConn football. Best thing you can do is ignore it or have a little fun with it. Keep up the good work and stay strong.

    • dconner says:

Yeah you know I got a real nice email this afternoon from the Boneyard administrator. Really nice. I believe everything she said and I believe those who support me. Ill continue to do what I do and do it as best I can but will simply block and block out the fringe element. I began that process this morning. Work too hard on coverage to
be attacked by a finicky few who think I’m supposed to speak for them.

      Thanks buddy

      • Navin R. Johnson says:

Well said Chris. It is so great to have someone so dedicated the way DC is. He takes time to speak to you if he sees you or answers all of your questions. Even if DC and I don’t see eye to eye regarding Connecticut football he’s always respectful and professional. We have a keeper here…now if we can only get DC to a car race at Stafford.

Have a feeling you guys are gonna get me too Navin

          • TheJerk says:

firstly, what was going on, on the boneyard? secondly, Navin I think you have a btter chance of Dez attending a GOP fundraiser

          • dconner says:

Ha! I’ve actually been to a couple those C. Would have gone to one last month if I weren’t in Kalamazoo, Mich, too, I’m pretty sure. A family friend was holding one. She knows where I stand but I have voted for her and will again.
