UConn’s Class: What They’re Saying
Rivals.com
Rates class No. 64. Says the headliner is Dhameer Bradley. Calls him “a dynamic player in the open field and should provide excitement in Storrs.” Calls late additions of quarterback Tim Boyle and wide receiver Brian Lemelle “huge.” Says offensive lineman Chasz Wright “has the potential to be a quality starter once he fills out his frame and has a better understanding of the game. Offensive lineman Kyle Schafenacker and defensive ends Sha-ki Holmes and Jalen Stevens have the chance to be early contributors.”
Scout.com
Rates class No. 60. Rutgers (33), Cincinnati (tie, 50) and Louisville (56) are ahead of UConn. Each has announced its departure from the Big East. Behind UConn are four teams entering this season — Houston (61), SMU (69), Central Florida (88) and Memphis (95). League members South Florida (63) and Temple (90) also are behind the Huskies.
ESPN
Rates class No. 72. Boyle is rated 36th out of top 100 QBs. Schafenacker is No. 33 out of top 100 offensive linemen.

Lets not get too carried away with the rankings ..they are just arbitrary numerical rating systems that someone created to attempt to make their sports opinions relevant and for those of us sport junkies something to read and debate and marinate about..it’s ALL about how the parts are orchestrated on the field…Louiville beat Florida in the Sugar bowl … Do you think the so called sports “expert’s” like ESPN or groups like Rivals or Scouts would have louiville with the higher recruiting classes?? There is absolutely no substance to the ratings !! Interesting however to read how fans interpret/debate them ..which to me the only value ..ya think???

Scout.com: “Rutgers (33), Cincinnati (tie, 50) and Louisville (56) are ahead of UConn. Each has announced its departure from the Big East.”
