Former Husky Caron Butler Is Going Back Home, With Trade To Bucks

by Categorized: Caron Butler, Jim Calhoun, UConn men's basketball

Caron Butler is heading home, his career coming full-circle. The former Husky, Butler, 33, was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks the other day. He figures to start at small forward and provide a leadership role for his hometown team.

Butler grew up in a tough environment, was often in trouble with the law in Racine, Wis., not far from Milwaukee, and began getting his life together though basketball, with UConn and coach Jim Calhoun playing an important part in that. He’s now a successful business man as well as a respected NBA veteran.

Here’s a good read from the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinal’s Charles F. Gardner on Butler and the trade.
