UConn will play defending national champ Louisville on Jan 18 as the second part of an ESPN Game Day doubleheader.
ESPN announced its 2014 Game Day schedule, and it begins on Jan. 18 with Temple and LaSalle at the Palestra in Philly in the afternoon, and Louisville at UConn during the evening at Gampel Pavilion.
… And defending national champ Louisville will get a slot in a game at Connecticut on Jan. 18, the second matchup of GameDay’s opening slate. It will also be Louisville’s first and last appearance as a member of the new American Athletic Conference, which will soon become its former league as it moves to the ACC in 2014.
UConn-Louisville is THE marquee matchup to be had in the AAC. In other scheduling news, UConn’s game against Stanford on Dec. 18, probably at XL Center, will be a 9 p.m. start on ESPN 2, according to UConn.
