Huskies 10th In This Week’s AP Poll

by Categorized: UConn men's basketball

UConn did not play last week, with players taking final exams, but lost a spot in the latest AP writers’ poll, which came Monday afternoon.

The Huskies, ninth last week, are 10th. Villanova moved up two spots, and tied Duke for eighth, leap-frogging UConn (9-0), which next plays Stanford at the XL Center on Wednesday night, ending a 12-day break.

The top 10 are Arizona, Syracuse, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Duke/Villanova and UConn. Kentucky, which began the year at No. 1, is now 19th. North Carolina, which has beaten Louisville and Kentucky, is now 14th.
