Kevin Ollie: ‘I Wish I Could Run Out On That Court’ [USA Today]

by Categorized: Kevin Ollie, UConn men's basketball

Kevin Ollie did a long question-and-answer session with USA Today’s Nicole Auerbach.

Here’s a highlight:

“Do I practice my sideline demeanor? No, I don’t. I just let it happen. My mom always tells me to smile more, and I just tell her I can’t smile when I’m competing. She gets on me a lot. I try to crack a smile here or there. The thing I like is, I like to get into a defensive stance when we need a big stop. I want to be that sixth man on the court. I wish I could run on that court.”

Ollie talks about the Huskies’ 9-0 start, about the close games, about Shabazz Napier, his coaching mentors, and more. Here is the complete story.
