Kevin Ollie to Speak at Hall of Fame on Friday … Other News and Notes

by Categorized: Kevin Ollie, Shabazz Napier, UConn men's basketball

Want to meet Kevin Ollie? Have a question? The UConn coach is going to be speaking at the Naismith Memorial Hall of Fame in Springfield on Friday, from 1 to 2 p.m. He will discuss his playing and coaching career, take questions and sign some autographs.

Sounds like a nice day-trip. Here’s more info from the Hall of Fame website.

Ollie gave his take on the new UConn look as walk-on Tor Watts modeled the new uniforms at Gampel. “It has an edginess to it,” he said.

Shabazz Napier was originally to represent the men’s team at the presentation, but, I was told, he had a class. Kelly Faris and Bria Hartley were there from¬† the women’s team. Going forward, both teams will have identitcal uniforms.

Kelly Faris on the “old” Husky: “Thought it was cute, but that’s not really what you’re going for in sports.”

Why would KO speak at the Hall of Fame when he has zero chance of getting in? Is he going to talk about how he managed to stay in the NBA by sitting at the end of bench and keeping his mouth shut?

Realize you are a self admitting troll…believe you mentioned , including your Mom..five followers, but it’s a good time to point out something that
I had discovered a while back when doing some googling..this end of bench sitter earned a bit over $21 million dollars in income over his NBA career..Granted, not considered a All Star , super star such as Koby, Michael and others of that ilk but stil, had a role to play and played it well it seems..wether mentoring young players..filling in when needed for a particuler need….$21 plus million…not bad , not bad at all…

So if KO needs to coach at UCONN after “earning $21 million”, he must have lost that money due to his many vices.

I have to say, our new logo is realy ugly. But it seems to it it pefectly with our girl’s basketbll team.
