Monday is the day for Kevin Ollie’s golf tournament, which benefits The Tolland Fund, an organization that supports athletes with disabilities.
Donny Marshall, Scott Burrell, Dee Rowe, Jennifer Rizzotti, Ricky Moore, Glen Miller, Karl Hobbs and ESPN’s Jonathan Coachman are coming to play at Glastonbury Hills. This year’s event will honor Ken Messier, co-founder of Connecticut Sled Hockey, and Andrew Haraghey, 17-year-old ski champ from Enfield, who overcomes Cerebral Palsy to compete.
Ollie named The Tolland Fund as his charity of choice is the coach’s charity challenge last season – it’s a cause near and dear to his heart. The Fund underwrites numerous opportunities for athletes with disabilities to participate in sporting events.
I’ll be there Monday, reporting via social media (@AmoreCourant on Twitter), our main website and for the Courant, so by all means follow along.
