Shabazz Napier pulled in another honor this week. The Huskies’ leading scorer was named District 1 Player of the Year by the U.S. Basketball Writers Association.
Napier and Ryan Boatright were members of the District I, basically New England, First Team, which also included Ryan Anderson of Boston College, Kadeem Batts and Bryce Cotton of Providence, Alex Francis of Bryant, Xavier Munford of Rhode Island, Wesley Saunders of Harvard and Kyle Vinales of Central Connecticut.
Napier averaged 17.1 points per game this season, Boatright averaged 15.4.
Bill Coen of Northeastern was the district’s coach of the year.

    Where are the stories about the Big East tourney? Everyone who is anyone in the Big East is there.

    Maybe it is your short attention span or your remedial reading abilities, but there are plenty of BE Conference articles in the Courant.
    I know it is so difficult for you to see any positive news about accomplishments of UCONN athletes. Get over it.
