With First Night just a few days away now, here are more details for you.

Bobby V (formerly Valentino) will perform live on Friday night at Gampel Pavilion as part of the festivities.

Bobby V, Platinum artist who is known for albums like Special Occasion, The Rebirth, Fly On The Wall and, in 2012, Dusk Til Dawn, will be part of the show that begins at 7 p.m. at Gampel. Admission is free, and the first 7,500 through the doors will get a free rally towel courtesy of SNY.

Note: The first 75 students with valid ID entering on the North side will get VIP court-side seating.

A reminder – the doors open at 4 p.m., with a UConn-Cincinnati volleyball match. Players will sign autographs from 5 to 6:30 p.m. You know the drill – the skills competition, Ryan Boatright defends his dunk title, prizes and other sights and sounds of First Night, Kevin Ollie’s first as head coach.
