Ranking The Point Guards: CBSSports.com Has Shabazz Napier at No. 17

Here’s something from CBSSports.com, some fodder for discussion:

In a preseason ranking of poing guards, the website’s college basketball staff has Isaiah Canaan of Murray State ranked first, and Phil Pressey of Missouri is No. 2. UConn’s Shabazz Napier is at No. 17. Peyton Siva of Louisville is the top Big East point guard at No. 9, with Michael Carter-Williams of Syracuse at No. 13.

Here’s the evaluation on Napier:

         “He had great games — and brutal ones. Napier can really shoot the ball from deep, but

          needs to learn how to consistently get his teammates easy shots — and also become a

           quality leader. Also capable of being a terrific perimeter defender.”
