HOUSTON – UConn went undefeated last week, but still dropped in the AP Poll. Hey, we’re just passing this info along …

The Huskies won the only game they played during the most recent polling cycle, an 82-65 win over Eastern Washington on Saturday, but they dropped two more spots in the AP Writers Poll, to No. 17 on Monday.

The Huskies (11-1) had reached No. 9 in early December, but dropped a spot during their idle week, five spots after losing to Stanford, and now two more.

UConn stayed at No. 15 this week in the USA Today/Coaches poll.

Louisville, with its second loss, dropped to No. 14, to the AAC’s ranked teams, including Memphis, are 14, 17 and 18 in the AP Poll. They are 10th, 15th and 18th in the USA Today. Louisville, of course, was also hit with the news that Chane Behanan was dismissed from school.

Not a lot of change at the top of the polls this week, still Arizona, Syracuse. Harvard, which is coming to Gampel on Jan. 8, was among others receiving votes in the AP poll.

The complete polls are here.

The Huskies are due to arrive in Houston a little later, and we’ll  have notes and quotes early this evening, here and on the main website.
