UConn Men Rise To No. 9 In AP Poll

The UConn men cracked the top 10 in the AP Poll this week, moving up three spots to No. 9.

UConn, ranked 12th last week, knocked off Florida, ranked 15th at the moment, build its case. The Huskies, as expected, routed Maine in their other game. This is the highest UConn has been ranked in a couple of years; they started the 2011-12 season at No. 4, but fell out of the top 10 in December.

Arizona took over the top spot this week in the writers’ voting, followed by Syracuse, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Louisville, Oklahoma State, Duke, UConn and Villanova.
