UConn Transfer Roscoe Smith Headed to UNLV [CBSSPORTS]
Roscoe Smith has made his decision and will transfer from UConn to UNLV, according to CBSSPORTS.COM’s Jeff Goodman. Smith, who played an important role on the Huskies’ championship team, played a lesser role last season and asked for his release in April. Smith’s father told CBSSports about the decision on Friday.
He is looking to play more small forward than power forward. At UNLV, he could do that, but he will probablty be sitting out a year before he can play. In any event, Smith has a new home.

All the best to Roscoe at UNLV. I’m actually looking forward to this coming season. With such low expectations, maybe the Huskies will surprise some people and end up with a squad that is competitive and fun to watch. Should be interesting for sure!
As a father am so happy for roscoe. Free at last! His dad is good man who knows how to look out for his son. Roscoe was ranked #8 in the country in the class of 2010 & a McDonald all American. Why on earth from 1040 minutes as a freshman to 500minutes 2nd year? Times has changed it must be a win-win situation. Poor mike Bradley who almost lost his scholarships to Drummond! That is how ugly&greedy it gets. Now what? You can be greedy & lose it all…
Dear Mr. Oriakhi, Please get your facts straight before you decide to open your misinformed mouth once again. Roscoe was NOT a McDonald’s All-American. Who cares what your high school class ranking was? That means nothing! Your son is a clear example of this. Earn your minutes, work hard, and keep your mouth shut. Enjoy Missouri, where the American Dream goes to die.
