PROVIDENCE – Checking in from the Dunkin Donuts Center. The start of UConn-Providence is about 15  minites away.

Tyler Olander, like so many of us, is fighting flu symptoms, so he may not start tonight. If not, Enosch Wolf would start in his place, along with Shabazz Napier, Ryan Boatright, DeAndre Daniels and Omar Calhoun.

Olander didn’t practice Thursday morning, but was out on the court with the team for most of the pregame drills, so he’s not necessarily out.

Update: 6:45 p.m.: Olander was in UConn’s starting lineup, so they will play it by ear.

Of course, look for lots of Niels Giffey off the bench tonight.

Boatright was out shooting with the group, so the sore knee that kept him out of the last few minutes of practice on Wednesday doesn’t appear to be a problem.

These games are a familiy reunion for UConn assistant George Blaney, and his son Brian, who is on the Providence staff.

UConn is trying to end its three-game losing streak at the Dunk.

Talk to  you later … remember, I’ll be tweeting throughout the game, @AmoreCourant.

And as always, thanks to all who joined us on the live chat today. Just sorry we had a back-log of questions we couldn’t get to. We’ll do it again next week.
