NEWARK, N.J. – Made it safely to the Prudential Center, due to my colleague Jeff Jacobs, who picked me up along the way. My street and car are still buried. Do be careful on the roads, if  you must travel – Madison to Fairfield on I-95 was still pretty treacherous around 9 a.m. After Fairfield, it was normal driving.

The Huskies had a difficult trip here, too. They left Storrs about 7 p.m. on Saturday, picking up coaches at a meeting spot, then their bus used a lot of back roads to circumvent highway issues. It took over 5 hours, so they got to Newark after midnight. Quick turnaround, they’re on the court now, an hour or so before beginning the game against Seton Hall.

UConn hasn’t had a full-blown practice since Thursday, but did a little shooting at Gampel on Saturday before they left.

It’s not official, but it appears it will be the usual lineup for UConn – Shabazz Napier, Ryan Boatright, DeAndre Daniels, Omar Calhoun and Tyler Olander. No one was late for anything. Will update if needed.

As of now, Fuquan Edwin, Seton Hall’s top scorer, is going to try to play with his sprained ankle. We’ll have to see how effective he can be. Looks like Brian Oliver (ankle) and Brandon Mobley (shoulder) will not.

As usual, a lot of NBA teams have reserved seats for their scouts – I see the Nets , T-Wolves, Jazz, Hornets and Spurs on the list.
