HARTFORD – Looking live at the XL Center, the start of UConn-Stanford is about an hour away, at 9:10 p.m.

Setting the scene:

Omar Calhoun, who twisted his ankle Tuesday and sat out the end of practice is on the court shooting with his teammates, so it looks like he’s Okay and it will be the usual starting lineup for the Huskies. (Calhoun, Shabazz Napier, Ryan Boatright, Phil Nolan and DeAndre Daniels). … But we’ll wait and see on that.

Here is our capsule look at the game, from the Tuesday Courant. And our main advance story.

The Celtics, Spurs, Mavericks and Bobcats have scouts here tonight.

Officials for the evening are Ted Valentine, Tom Eades and Ray Natilli.

Bob Diaco, the new UConn football coach, is in the building and will be introduced during the game.

The Huskies will be leaving Thursday morning for Seattle, to get acclimated to West Coast time for the game against Washington on Sunday.

Bob Knight is in his seat at courtside, and so am I. … Follow along with me (@AmoreCourant), Jeff Jacobs (@JacobsCourant) and Paul Doyle (@PaulDoyle1) throughout the night. And tons of coverage will be going up on our main website as the night goes along.
