From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution comes this somewhat troubling story about an apparent domestic dispute between former Tennessee All-American Chamique Holdsclaw and her former girlfriend, Jennifer Lacy.

The two were former WNBA teammates.

Jeepers! She pulled out a gun and fired into the car?
Things could have been much worse. Thankfully no one was killed. She obviously has some issues.

  2. Clare O'Neill says:

Chamique has always had issues. Pat Summit was one of the few who could keep her in check – remember when Pat was hired as a “special consultant” to the Washington Mystics when Holdsclaw was playing there? She was really hired to mediate between Holdsclaw and the Mystics coaching staff. After her grandmother (who raised her) passed away, she went over the deep end and apparently is still there. Too bad – a great talent wasted by mental illness and an inability to accept coaching and guidance.

  3. Baylor Lost By 2 Without Sims says:

Chamique has the same 2 choices the rest of us with mental illness have. Take prescribed medications with bad side effects or avoid taking them. She did not ask for this. She was born this way. While playing, her WNBA stats were similar to Tamika’s.

I got to meet her and I did not think that she was nice at all so I am not suprised that this happened to her but I hope coach summit found out about this one I do not think that she would be very happy with he r at all
