Breanna Stewart Will Not Play Today

by Categorized: Breanna Stewart, UConn women's basketball Date:

Geno Auriemma has told Bob Joyce of the UConn Radio Network that freshman Breanna Stewart will likely not play in today’s game against Idaho because of a sore Achilles tendon.

It is totally precautionary and her x-rays proved negative.

      Wow UConn knowitall.
You really DO know everything, including what happens in the UConn trainer’s room.

Please fill us in on what conversations Stewart has had with her doctors regarding this medical issue.

While you’re at it, how about listing the up-coming Powerball numbers or answering the age-old question “what it the meaning of life”?

As Steve Gee already posted you think you know it all, and apparently aren’t reluctant to let the world know about it!
Geno is having a down year, as you moronically state. Yet his record after today will be 30-4! Other than a few other D-1 powerhouse schools in women’s basketball there are 100’s of programs that would dream about having a 30-4 season, including Jen Rizzoti’s U of Hartford and Jamelle Elliot’s program at Cincinnati. The man has 7 NCAA championships for crying out loud. Only Pat Summitt with 8 at Tennessee can boast that she has more on her resume.

As for Brenna as you seem to be an egotistical and medical know-it-all, (within your delusional head) why don’t you apply for the next available opening on the school’s athletic medical staff? I mean, you make it out like you have a PHD in medicine from Harvard, clown!!

Well said. It is obvious that some posters here are lacking in their personal lives that they have to strike out at freshman just learning how to adjust from high school.

Also, considering that Geno is the 2nd winningest coach in women’s college basketball.

I might add that his record is better than all the 500 plus teams in womens college basketball EXCEPT for Tennessee – yes, even if I might dare say better than Baylor and Notre Dame and Stanford.

Any of them are welcomed to come visit UCONN and count the banners hanging from the rafters.

    Steve Gee,
You’re funny. But if you can get the power ball number, pass it on. You don’t really need 300 million do you?

    1. Steve Gee

Yes I’m very funny, but looks aren’t everything.
      And yes, I’ll share.

And once again the First Amendment gets challenged in the Uconn blogs.

Yea Tex–The challange is to allow people with low intellect to speak their minds.
But then all our politicans wouldn’t be allowed to speak.

But don’t worry about Steve Gee–he’s done as much insulting as he has been insulted.
Tit for Tat only leads to that circular sexual thing, in written terms.

      1. Steve Gee

        Thanks for noticing Bobby.
In my opinion (and feel free to correct me if I’m wrong) I try not to insult, other than calling on trolls for trolling.
For that I make no apology.

        1. Bobby Boyd

Steve–you have a point. Your use of the Troll word (to you only it means trolling) is offensive–and I’m not the “troll”.
If you mean trolling–say it. I know these non factor contributors are offensive–ignore them. Responding only empowers them.
You are generally right in your comments and you defend the Uconn players and coach–what I’d expect on a Uconn Women’s blog.
have a fine day, it should be good with a nice win–competition is competition.

          1. Steve Gee

Bobby, I never referred to you as a troll. I wouldn’t beat around the bush to use the word in any case.
I have noticed however, that the trolls hate it.
It drives them bonkers to be called out.
            So, at times I do.
There’s usually only one big troll on this board anyway. His writing is easy to spot. As is his constant penchant for name-changing so he can “hide” and not own his own comments.
His SOP is to use the name of others that don’t share his opinion or call him out for berating players on a personal level.

As far as today’s game, I guess it’s what one expects in the 1st round. I do expect Vandy to be more competitive, but who knows. That’s why they play the games. Who will be the Cinderella team this year?

    1. Steve Gee

      Really troll… that’s all you’ve got?
If you had a game I’d say you’re letting it slip.

I’m extremely inspired with your writing talents and also with the structure on your blog. Is this a paid subject matter or did you modify it your self? Either way keep up the nice high quality writing, it’s rare to see a nice blog like this one today..
