UConn’s Bria Hartley is The American’s Player of the Week.

Hartley averaged 23.5 points, 4.0 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game in a week that included two road wins against ranked opponents, Baylor and Rutgers. Hartley shot 54.5 percent from the floor and 57.1 percent from 3-point range. Hartley scored 17 points with three assists at No. 7 Baylor. She followed that up with a career-high 30 points on 11-for-15 (.733) shooting in Sunday’s victory at No. 23 Rutgers. Hartley also had a career-best six 3-pointers vs. the Scarlet Knights on 6-for-8 (.750) shooting.

And on the basis of her 22-point effort against UConn, Rutgers freshman guard .Tyler Scaife is the Rookie of the Week.
