Connecticut Sun Picking All-Decade Team
As part of a season-long celebration of its 10th anniversary, the Connecticut Sun is asking fans to help pick an All-Decade team. Any of the 55 players who have competed in a regular season game for them since the team relocated from Orlando prior to the 2003 season is eligible to be chosen.
“Over the past 10 seasons, many Connecticut Sun athletes have made significant contributions on the court and in the community,” Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko said. “What stands out to me is the quality of people who have come through this organization. Now the fans can have their say and vote for the all-decade team.”
Beginning today, fans can visit www.wnba.com/sun/alldecade.html, where they will be asked to select the 10 players they feel have made the biggest impact on the Connecticut Sun since 2003. Voting will close on August 31.
On September 7, during the home game against the Phoenix Mercury, the first two members of the All Decade team will be revealed. Three more players will be named during the September 9 home game against the Chicago Sky. The top five players on the All Decade team will be revealed on September 19 during the game against Indiana.
