Dailey To Be Inducted In State Hall of Fame
UConn associate head coach Chris Dailey is among those to be inducted into the Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in April 2013.
Joining Dailey will be Lisa Brummel, a former four-sport athlete at Yale University, who led Yale to the Ivy League championship in basketball (1978-79) and softball (1980) Brummel is currently the Chief People Officer at Microsoft, where she has led Human Resources since May 2005.
She is also one of three women who own the WNBA’s Seattle Storm. Force 10 Hoops LLC, a group that includes Brummel and fellow Yale alumna Ginny Gilder, bought the Seattle Storm in January 2008 and is now one of six private, non-NBA, ownership groups in the WNBA.
The other members of the Class of 2013 are Karen “Pie” Draughn (Wilbur Cross High School, New Haven; Cheyney State) and Patty Costa (Andrew Warde High School, Fairfield; Fairfield University and University of Bridgeport), high school coach Nick Chaconis (Portland High School) and Amy Matthews McKenna (Thomaston High School, Western Connecticut State University).
The Connecticut Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame will also induct a college coach, who will be announced at a later date.

Not to be picky John, but in your last Blog a few days ago you stated that Morgan Tuck was waiting for her knee brace. Well, is she still waiting, did it arrive, and if so, can she practice while wearing it? I know that the teams have been on an extended exam break but your constituents still “want to know.”
Christine Dailey deserves and has earned the WAY OVERDUE accolades from all sources. She is, in my opinion, equally responsible with Geno for the success of the UConn Women. Also she is the moral fiber of this team, the fashion dictator (I mean that in only the best possible way) and she makes sure the UConn Bigs play the game the UConn way!! Congratulations Christine Dailey. You are a class act. Let us not forget she was a Champion on the Rutgers U team.
