Don’t Bother Looking For Geno Auriemma Tonight From London
If you were wondering what Geno Auriemma would look like in one of those Ralph Lauren made in China USA team uniforms in the Opening Ceremonies tonight from the London Games, sorry to tell you this, but he will not be the parade of athletes.
The International Olympic Committee has banned coaches in all sports from all nations from marching to save time. Meanwhile, the Yankees-Red Sox will likely take 5 hours to play nine innings tonight.
“The IOC is trying to shorten the event,” said Mike Thibault, the coach of the Connecticut Sun, an assistant on the 2008 USA gold medal women’s basketball team in China. “They tried to implement it before the Beijing Games, but wasn’t able to because it was voted down. So Geno won’t be able to march in the ceremonies and I believe he will be missing out on a great deal.
“It’s a shame that the IOC has made the ruling. Keeping the coaches out of the opening ceremonies isn’t going to save that much time. And they just told everyone about a week ago.”

FREDDYKOOL: WELL THAT’S BULLSHXT!!!
Aah what are you gonna do? There are worse places he could be banned from!!
A reference to the length of a NY vs. BOS baseball game has no relevance whatsoever to the consideration of the Olympic organization and their decisions to help the TV people fit in a window of planned air time. Baseball has no clock so why bring up a baseball game?
