Everyday Brings New Injury To UConn

by Categorized: UConn women's basketball Date:

For a team that seemingly has it all together, UConn seldom has had its team all together this season.

Starting with the sprained ankle that sidelined Bria Hartley this summer playing for USA Basketball, the Huskies have surfed from one injury to another, sidelining one player than another.

On Friday, freshman Breanna Stewart took her turn, spraining an ankle in practice. She will watch her teammates compensate against Marquette at the Al McGuire Center.

Stewart’s loss was compensated for the return of freshman Morgan Tuck who missed the Georgetown game on Wednesday because of her bruised right knee.

Not surprised. She is severely pigeon toed. Weak ankles are common. Ask her parents why it was never corrected at an early age.
