Faris Misses Practice With Sprained Left Foot

Here is some news I am sure no one wants to hear:
UConn senior guard Kelly Faris, the Big East’s defensive player of the second, a Big East second-team pick and co-winner of the conference’s Most Improved Player, was held out of Thursday’s practice because of a sprained ligament in her left foot.
Faris hurt herself in the second half of UConn’s triple-OT loss at Notre Dame and played the last 34 minutes of the marathon with the injury. She played 53 of the 55 minutes.
UConn says Faris is day-to-day. She has two more days to get ready before the Huskies conference quarterfinal game on Sunday at 6 p.m.

Bad break for one. Good break for another. Faris gets to rest and Jefferson (maybe) gets to play. The first game will be against Marquette or DePaul. Some of the lessor competition Uconn has seen this year.
I would really like Mo Jeff to get a full game under her belt before the NCAA. Stewart and Tuck need to play up to potential and get lots of game time before the sweet16 or elite 8. Geno says it’s harder to win the Elite 8 than the final 4.
another excuse for Geno Aid Guzzlers to claim UConn coulda, woulda, shoulda won the BET and NCAA
Kim McGraw You must be related to Uncle phil or more likely you are a patient of his. Come on down to Jonesboro I have some lemonade I’d like you to drink…..
Hope you are feeling better soon, Kelly!!!
“Big East’s defensive player of the second” – is that the best during a second? or, is this just another example of your outrageously sloppy writing?
The other 39 minutes and 59 seconds, her defense ain’t so good.
