UConn will try to win their 100th consecutive home game Saturday against St. John’s, Senior Night for Tiffany Hayes and a number of team managers. UConn has not lost in Connecticut since the 2007 Big East tournament against Rutgers. The number also includes postseason games played in Hartford and Storrs because they are considered home venues. The Huskies have played 32 ranked teams during the streak … Hayes comes into the game ranked 12th all-time in career scoring at UConn with 1,655 points. She needs 23 to tie Shea Ralph for 10th and 45 to pass Ann Strother into the Top 10. If Hayes has a strong postseason, she has a chance to also surpass Svetlana Abrosimova for ninth (1,865), although Abrosimova played only 127 games at UConn. Hayes will play her 143rd game Saturday.
Much has been made of freshman Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis’ recent shooting slump. But Bria Hartley, who is averaging 14.4 and shooting 49.7 percent from the floor has made just 7 of her last 35 threes since going 3 of 5 at Syracuse on Jan. 25. Lewis is 23 of 65 since Syracuse (six games ago) and 14 of 48 from three over the last seven. If Lewis wins one more Big East Freshman of the Week award it will be her eight, surpassing Rebecca Lobo for second all-time in conference history behind Maya Moore, who was a 10-time pick in the 2007-08 season.… St. John’s hasn’t defeated UConn since Jan. 6, 1993 and just once since Feb. 6, 1988. UConn has won the last 27 meeting. … During the course of the season, the Huskies have played 52 halves of basketball. They have only lost two in cumulative scoring, the second half at Baylor (38-27) and the second half at Louisville (29-23).

Love my Ladies!! I don’t want Tip to leave..just like I didn’t want Maya to
Slump–szumpk, Kaleena was feeling the effects of Big East Ball. Agains’t Gtown, lVille, and OKla she scored and scored when needed. Super K, or Special K or Circle K (an okla 7/11)is every bit the player Geno thought he recruited. She scores, she rebounds, she defends, she passes, she cuts, she has a sense of basketball way beyond her years–If that isn’t enough to forget the “slumP” there is no hope for UConn Fans!!! Before she is gone you will be amazed by what she accomplishes.
