The women’s coach at UConn was on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” show this morning to talk about his involvement with the establishment of the educational scholarship at the university to benefit the families in Newtown.

Take a look…

  1. PALIMPSEST says:

Watched the clip–fantastic. MSNBC interviewed Geno about the Scholarships–and he explained it properly. That needs to be widely publicized–it cleared up questions I had.

John : Do the Children of Sandy Hook and the Adults, their siblings and families right by explaining to your FANS just what Geno explained in the clip.

I’ve known for years what a decent, caring, giving person Geno along with his wife has been. His gifts and work and effort is never publicized–by his choice. His Women do wonderful things for the community–without fan fare.

Explaining this fully will honor those who had their lives taken so horribly.

  2. A half hour show of Geno on SNY was better than the first one but still lacking. Saw the inside of the Auriemma house and wine cellar. Mrs Auriemma was great. As were the UC women at the “Hole in the Wall” camp for kids.
I hate to say this but maybe its Megan Pattyson that’s missing. The show is “nice” but no “zip”. The REAL GENO hasn’t shown up yet on SNY.

  3. NueHavenJude says:

Does the Courant not edit? “New” of New Haven is misspelled. The Hartford game is listed as being at the XL Center intead of were it’s actually being played ~ at Hartford.

  4. Publicus says:

I completely agree that the SNY version of the Geno show is awful. It’s not about basketball. It looks like a segment from morning shows. Here’s Geno’s lovely home and his wife. In the the listing on U-verse’s guide it said Geno answers viewer’s questions with Megan Pattyson.

Of course there were no questions, and Megan has not been Pattyson for years. Her last name is Cuolmo, and she wasn’t on the show. Did SNY copy an old CPTV program description? Extremely lame for the so-called new professional sports network affiliation.

  5. Sydney White says:

Geno has started a wonderful tribute to Sandy Hook and I really admire him for his stepping up. He is human in spite of what some think. I have sent in my contribution and hope everyone else will do so too.
