Sophomore Moriah Jefferson has a chance to be one of the great point guards in UConn history. No one in the country is playing better than she right now.
Here is how her numbers (assists to turnovers) compare to the program’s All-American guards when they were sophomores.
Jen Rizzotti (1993-94): 150 assists, 90 turnovers in 992 minutes (1.66 ratio)
Sue Bird (1999-2000): 160 assists, 80 turnovers in 1,052 minutes (2.00 ratio)
Diana Taurasi (2001-02): 208 assists, 83 turnovers in 1,131 minutes (2.51 ratio)
Renee Montgomery (2006-07): 163 assists, 95 turnovers in 1,136 minutes (1.72 ratio)
Moriah Jefferson (2013-14): 92 assists, 31 turnovers in 536 minutes (2.97 ratio)
