Direct what!!!Jefferson is a pure point and should be starting my God look at her stats!!#%$#

If you think MoJeff is a pure point guard then you have no conception of what a point guard is. A point directs the offense, spots the open man, drives the lane on occasion to collapse the defense and passes to the open player. Among other things. MoJeff does virtually none of those things.

Doty isn’t a GREAT asset–but the question for all is:
      1. Does Jefferson have the NERVES, Composure, and experience in NCAA BB to handle the pressure??

Doty has that experience–not always the composure expected of a 5th year. As Geno, who do you put your trust in?? Can you answer that honestly if you were Geno??

In some games it appears Geno is damned if he does — damned if he doesn’t. Better him than me.

Disagree with the comment by Bill about Bridgeport “just not being a good place to watch a basketball game”- Webster Bank Arena is a good venue, all the seats pretty good….and take it from me the food is WAAAY better than Gampel (though that is not saying a heck of a lot!)!
People sitting next to me on Monday complained about price of tickets, said they would not pay that much for a game- – – seems to me $60 is not exorbitant by Connecticut standards for a three-game package to watch four excellent teams; and the outcomes determining which team is going to the Final Four. Yet we pay $15 or $20/ticket to watch UCONN vs Holy Cross!!! I don’t get it!

  2. FREDDYKOOL

FREDDYKOOL: ALL YOU ELLENA DELLA DON HATERS. IF YOU EVER SEE HER PLAY YOU ALL WILL FALL IN LOVE WITH HER, NOT ONLY IS SHE FANTASTIC, SMART, SHE IS BEAUTIFUL AND A SMILE THAT WILL MELT DIAMONDS.

  3. EDD = POY = WADE TROPHY WINNER

Like anyone is going to listen to the Geno Gestapo. This ain’t the BonerYard. EDD. EDD. EDD.

I watched Delaware last night. EDD is the real deal but she’s not a one person show. I was impressed with the DE guards and the team overall. They limited turnovers and rebounded well against NC’s bigger players.
I’m more worried about how UCONN will deal with Kentucky’s press should they both win. UCONN has not impressed against pressure defenses [ie..ND] and could end up with huge # of turnovers. They did better at protecting the ball against Vandy especially in the 2nd half. They will need to repeat that performance if they want to advance against MD and against KY. I hope they do.

Again–Mike is right on. I don’t like the way EDD walked away or her excuse for doing it.

She is a superb basketball player at many times in the NC Del game–she was the team.
Later the guards of the Blue Hens got into the act. NC in my opinion, shot themselves in the foot or 3 feet higher.
Mike—Protecting the ball for Uconn seems to depend on the defensve prowess of the opponent. Fast, quick teams usually rule them.
