Paige Saure (Named after an Okla Singer, no not Hank Thompson). She was a great kid. Played good basketball. Had her hands full of ND Riley. My favorite video is of her pushing a team mate thru a screen under the basket. I think she actually was pushing Shea thru that screen.
The cover pix -I almost didn’t know it was her. She’s lost a lot of weight, obviously is older and is beautiful.
Thanks JOhn–you brought back fantastic memories of a very good time in UConn Women’s BB. I went to the BE Championship in RU against ND (Riley)/UConn. I screamed for Geno to put Paige in to defend against Riley, he did–she was terrible, so much for my coaching skills. I’m sure Geno thinks us fans forget when We screw up and he was the master, we don’t forget.
