Paradise Not “Jammed” With Great Field
UConn’s first major road trip of the 2012-13 season will be the Paradise Jam in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands during Thanksgiving week. The Huskies will play three games in three days in a round-robin format.
Well, so far Wake Forest, Purdue, DePaul and now Hampton are in the field along with UConn. Three more programs will be added soon (we hope).
Since UConn and DePaul can not play, the competition for the Huskies appears to be a little thinner than it was the last time they played in the tournament in 2007-08 when Stanford, Duke and Old Dominion were lined up. That is unless Tennessee, Delaware and Kentucky are added. Then things may be a little more interesting.
But who cares really? Five days in paradise? Who cares about the basketball?

I thought Quinnipiac will also enter the tournament?
in the Olympics do they do extensive chromosome testing on the women basketball players?would this be a reason for some players to drop out?
Whatever (or, should I say, Whomever) do you mean????
I don’t know about Wake Forest but I do know that Purdue will have a strong team next year, so not all teams are walkovers!
Tim from az, be very careful of your suggestions or implications today. You never know what tomorrow may bring, and these same thoughts or opinions of yours could very well apply to someone close to you. Have a good night and remember to always maintain good thoughts.
Where can I get more exact info on the dates and location of this tournament? Team hotel, game site, exact dates, so we can plan ahead. Thank you.
