The network announced a live game streaming package for the 2012-13 UConn Women’s basketball season.  Beginning Monday, fans can purchase subscriptions by visiting uconnhuskies.tv.  The service will launch November 11 when the Huskies open the season by hosting the College of Charleston at Gampel

Fans will have the opportunity to view all 20 UConn Women’s Basketball games on SNY – via their Mac or PC computer – at uconnhuskies.tv.  The live streaming package will feature the following:

  • Online streaming access to SNY’s exclusive 20 game schedule

  • In-Game highlights

  • Archived games available On-Demand

  • Exclusive video features with Head Coach Geno Auriemma

  • Exclusive video features with UConn Huskies players

  • Player interviews and expert analysis from SNY’s on-air talent roster

SNY’s digital media partner, MLB Advanced Media (MLBAM), will provide its video streaming technology infrastructure to power uconnhuskies.tv. MLBAM captures, encodes and distributes more live events than any other Internet company.

Subscription packages will be offered at $59.95 for full season access or at $19.95 for monthly access.  More information can be found at uconnhuskies.tv.

  1. ELISE says:

JOHN, DOES THIS MEAN SNY WILL NOT BROADCAST THE GAMES LIVES ON THEIR TV STATION?

    • Steve says:

Elise, this post is for people who live in areas/markets that do not carry SNY. They will carry the 20 games stated on their channel live, but they will also be available streaming online for folks who do not have access to SNY through their cable companies.

  2. SNY WILL broadcast 20 Uconn Women BB games and replay those 20 games, with Geno show, and other perks for all us Uconn fanatic fans. Not to worry SNY will take care of us this year.
And JOHN will keep us advised about what’s happening with UConn on SNY.

59.95 is 5 dollars less than CPTV for the season.

Is this going to be a great season or WHAT????
Starting Friday we are off and running and John will give us a running reporting of First night.. WOW!!!

    • Pat Finn says:

Evidently you didn’t stream CPTV games – they cost $49.95 – opps, $10 more than CPTV by SNY charging $59.95 – whopee, not a bad price except for those who can’t afford it – a lot of UConn Women’s fans who are trying to survive on Social Security – a lot of fans as it was the pre-boomers who were and are the greatest fans of Husky Women’s basketball – Go Huskies.

  3. OOOPs SNY is 5 cents less than CPTV for Streaming video–this NEw math confuses me.

  4. FREDDYKOOL says:

I THINK THE DIFFERENCE WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER, LOOKING FORWARD TO ALL THE GAMES HERE IN FLORIDA!!!!!!

  5. RH says:

So will they stream in HD??? We got an HD TV half way through the last season and it is addictive!
