Here is a look at how the other side feels this morning concerning tonight’s final Big East regular-season championship tussle between Notre Dame and UConn.

Curt Rallo of the South Bend Tribune details the Notre Dame point of view.

8 Responses to South Bend Tribune: Not A Lot Of Pressure On Notre Dame

  1. Fairfield County Fan says:

So why did they change Senior Night?

  2. Steve Gee says:

I’m not sure how to take that senior night change,
but it does support the notion that ND feels there’s a lot riding on this game. The title’s important enough that they wouldn’t even risk having players emotionally invested in something other than the game at hand.
Pressure? I think the pressure is on Hartley. I pray she has a consistent game and sinks a few early to keep her loose and the D honest. Otherwise it could be a long evening for UConn.

  3. John D says:

UConn is so used to rolling over teams that I think when they played Baylor and ND the last few times for some strange reason they are not the same team.In most of the games they have had leads and let them slip away usually in the second half resulting in a close lose.I strongly believe that they could beat both Baylor and ND by just simply playing their game and not let either of these teams get into their heads. Then again I’m not a player or coach so how much do I know ?

  4. John D says:

Not a lot of pressure on Notre Dame is a ridiculous statement. They win the regular season outright if they win but if they lose they have to share it with UConn and the Huskies are the #1 seed in the Big East Tournament. The bottom line is ND wants it all and does not want to share anything with the Huskies. They also realize that the last one point win was a fluke and they were simply lucky.UConn had that game in the bag until the very end but fate decided otherwise.

That damn luck of the Irish will do you in every time. How could Geno possibly defend against that?

  5. bahmi says:

I just hope the Geno-is-God guy has a good game. I thought he’d bring us through the Baylor and ND games but apparently he was napping instead of strategizing.
