Things are beginning to come into place in the WNBA playoff schedule.
The Connecticut Sun will play the New York Liberty in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
The best-of-three will begin Thursday at the Mohegan Sun Arena at 7 with Game 1. Game 2 will be at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. on Saturday, Sept. 29. A possible Game 3 will be back at the casino on Monday, Oct. 1.
Also, the Sun now needs to win Sunday’s regular-season finale against Atlanta at the casino to assure home court in a possible WNBA Finals series against Los Angeles.
The Sparks ended the season Thursday night with a rousing win over Minnesota to finish 24-10. The Sun are 24-9. If they end tied with LA, the Sparks will have home court in the finals by virtue of winning both regular-season games between the teams.
