Sun Tip-Off Brunch To Be Held May 6

The Connecticut Sun will host a Tip-Off Brunch May 6 at the Mohegan Sun Convention Center to officially welcome fans back for the 2012 season.

Registration for the event will begin at 11 a.m. The brunch, held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be a chance for fans to meet the 2012 Connecticut Sun roster. Sun Vice President and General Manager Chris Sienko and head coach Mike Thibault will share their plans and goals for the upcoming season.

All attendees will receive an exclusive gift, have the opportunity to win raffle prizes, bid on unique silent auction items and interac with the players. All fans in attendance will have the opportunity to share their memories of the team for possible use in commercials and arena promotions.

Net proceeds from the event will benefit the Connecticut Sun Foundation. The Connecticut Sun Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of Connecticut’s youth by supporting athletic and educational endeavors.

The Connecticut Sun will tip off its 10th season in the state with a back-to-back against the New York Liberty, traveling to face its Eastern Conference rival on May 19 at 4 p.m. before returning home to Mohegan Sun Arena for a rematch on May 20 at 5 p.m. Connecticut will be home for seven of its first nine games.
