UConn’s game vs. DePaul will be played as scheduled Sunday at Gampel Pavilion. The game will tip off the scheduled time of 3:30 p.m.

Parking will be available in both the North and South Parking garages as usual. The University has cleared the majority of the snow from the surface lots used for game day parking and has also cleaned up sidewalks and other pedestrian ways around Gampel Pavilion.

The university urges tickets holders to use extra precaution when driving to the game. In addition, please consider arriving early on campus for the game as the snow will have some effect on the amount of time it takes to drive on the local roads around campus and park.

Most local restaurants are open in the area, including the Food Court at the Student Union for pregame dining.

The game will be televised on ESPNU and heard on the UConn IMG Sports Radio Network.

  1. Fairfield County Fan says:

Unfortunately it will go on without us – I don’t recall missing a game due to snow before (season ticket holders since ’98), but we have not yet dug out from under the 30-plus inches of snow. And with roads still bad, we would have to leave by noon to ensure we could get there by game-time.
Will watch Bob P. on ESPNU.
Hope they get students to fill the empty seats!

  2. Hip Hop Hood says:

Once the Big East dies and we get left behind, this empty arena will be the norm.

It’s great that the game will go on as advertised. Connecticut needs something to perk up the drudges of shoveling, blowing, plowing snow.
Any word on the travel schedule of the Depaul team??
Sorry the Fairfield County fan will miss this game. It may be much safer and comfortable staying home. Nice you thought of the REAL fans –the kids at UConn!!

Because HHH, as everyone is aware, the only reason folks go to Gampel is to watch the opponent play. Right?

    • Paul Knopick says:

Not if we join forces with the Catholic universities.

  3. Harry H says:

It is great that the campus is in great shape. It would be nice if we had a newspaper or something that would report if the highways are fine and what the road between 84 and Storrs is OK. That, I guess would be news, and it might take the place of the article that talks about the forecast for Friday night and Saturday.

We’ll be there – assuming we can get there.
I remember one big storm way back when there were so few people there that they let everyone sit in the lower section.

    • Lorna Doone says:

Harry H. That alone is worth the trip to get there. And you get to see the UC women up close.\\

Steve Gee–You are smarter than to respond to HHH. He is thrilled when someone replies to his ignorance. That is BY, Anti Coach, Anti Geno Auriemma says by another name. John, I assume you are checking out his email address.
