  1. Raygan says:

No Maseraties in this NCAA race, but all the other really good Corvettes are vulnerable and with Heather and Kiah backing
up Stef the Huskies have the best chance to beat the Griner factor —- if they get the chance.

  2. Thomas Hewitt says:

If they get the chance is right. This team has very little room for error. Hayes is infamous for not showing up when it matters most. Dolson is out of shape and has slow reflexes, which could lead to quick fouls and a seat on the bench. Auriemma apparently does not trust the shot blocker Stokes (4 minutes) and the speedy Banks (0 minutes) based on last night’s game. As for individual awards, Griner, EDD, and Nmeka should sweep most of the top player awards.

      Dolson out of shape????
She played 38 minutes last night more than any other Husky. There is not a quality center in the country who wouldn’t have been winded playing that many minutes in that game.

      • Thomas Hewitt says:

Dolson was winded by the 4:00 minute mark in the first half. The ONLY reason she played 38 minutes is because stubborn Auriemma refused to let Stokes and Buck give Dolson a breather. What game were you watching? Dolson was bent over most of the 2nd half fouling away. Except the refs were so bad they forgot to blow the whistle.

        • Sal Pace says:

Dolson was tired yes but to say she is out of shape is ridiculous. Granted she is incapable of getting her body mass above 6″ off the ground but she is not out of shape! If there was some way to increase her ability to jump the way Stokes does she would be phenomenal!!!!

  3. Marty says:

    T. Hayes’ total resume, body of work this year, while much better than any previous years, pales to the host of names in the 15. I rate her in the lower third of that group. Her inclusion in the list is a nod to the excellence of UConn’s teams year after year.

    • Lorena Wood says:

Only 3 names belong on that list – Griner, Nmeka, and Delle Donne.

      • Zete says:

But then it wouldn’t be a “list of 15″ would it? It would be called “the wooden list of 3″
