Jim, A lot of us Uconn women fans are wondering if you could have a column on some of the former grads and what they are doing now. I hear a lot of them are asst coaches and wonder where they are coaching
Swin Cash shooting just 34.1 percent from the field.
Diana Taurasi out indefinitely with a sore left hip.
Angel McCoughtry out with a sprained left MCL.
Anybody else concerned with four weeks to go?
Injuries + Lawsuit + Bird Talking Smack = Upset
Guessing that Taurasi is Out For The Season and USA Basketball is keeping it quiet while watching WNBA auditions
Bird has always talked smack. But for someone who has never put up great numbers and gets blown by on defense a lot, she should be on the 2nd team.
You’re a moron. How do you even know Bird talks smack? have you met her or anything? If you don’;t know her personally, then don’t judge her. How is injuries, lawsuit, and Bird talking smack have anything to do with the blog? Yes. DT is injured, etc but what does the lawsuit and all have to do with who’s in the WNBA? How do you know DT will be out for the rest of the season and will be out of the USA basketball stuff in London? Only the docs and DT know this. Not you or anyone else. You don;t even sound like a fan, so why bother coming here and talking smack about Uconn?
Sue Bird has never talked smack about anything. But if she ever were to talk some smack, she just might be allowed. After all, has there ever been a women’s basketball player who has won more titles than Sue? Her high school team(Christ the King) won a couple of mythical national championships, she won 2 NCs at UConn, 2 WNBA championships with Seattle, at least 2 European championships, at least 2 Russian championships, 2 Olympic Gold medals and 1 World Championship. Yeah, let’s put Sue on the 2nd team. Such a loser.
OH MY GOSH A VOICE FROM LAST CENTURY’S GREAT TEAM, ALL ROCKY TOPS FLOPS IN THE 2000′S HAVE WON IS ONE (1) CHAMPIONSHIP AND THERE FAMED LEADER IS OUT OF THE GAME, GET SET OH SEWER MOUTH TO GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SEC AND THEN GO TO ROCKY TOP AND JUMP OFF………..
FREDDYKOOL: I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A COLUMN EVERY WEEK ON ALL THE UCONN GREATS OF YESTERYEAR,EVEN THE NOT SO GREATS. GET OFF UR DUFFS GUYS AND DO THE LITTLE EXTRA THAT WOULD MAKE UCONN NATION A WHOLE LOT HAPPIER………
FREDDYKOOL: MAYBE I SHOULD APPLY TO THE UCONN SPORTS DEPARTMENT h’mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
FREDDY – You might be just a little bit over the top for news type stories (I’m just saying a little bit of a fan) but would be great for the personal type articles (Fluff I think they call them).
As to Sue Bird I have heard a number of analysts describe her as perhaps the best point guard in the world. Enough said.I certainly hope DT can play but believe the team has more than enough depth to win without her.
The lawsuit is complete and utter BS. Even if you concede that the attempted kiss took place (doubtful) the fact is that GA is not her employer and his involvement in this case would be solely as a witness to answer one question – Did he ask officials to remove her from the security team for this year’s event and if so why? Simple answer is likely to be “yes I did, I no longer felt comfortable with her being on the team” End of discussion. To include him in the suit was a publicity stunt by the idiot lawyer and it will backfire.
“WHO DA THUNK IT?”
Freddy, do you ever make any other comment except that? Every post I read is the same thing! Just sayin’
